Though I thought it would happen as the starting shortstop for the Los Angeles Dodgers, being part of Sports Illustrated’s background noise at Belmont Park isn’t so bad either:

What? Can’t see me clearly? How about now?

Still can’t tell? Take a look at this, then:

I noticed this photo on Friday as I waited at BWI for my 3 1/2-hour delayed flight to Detroit. I turned to the guy next to me eating his Panda Express 3-piece combo and shouted proudly, “I’m in Sports Illustrated!”

He turned back to his egg roll without even asking me what I meant.

Never underestimate people’s ability to care solely about their Chinese takeout.

Fucking Detroit. The airport was trying to stop you from going there.

People don’t care about what anyone does…Maybe sometimes for 5 minutes someone will care, then something shiny catches their attention.

But this is actually pretty cool. I shall care about it for approximately 30 seconds.

Lemmonex’s last blog post..Kitten to Cougar

I’ll take it. That’s about 29 seconds more than I expected anyone to care about it.

Your dreams are almost complete…

btw, what happened to Argentina over the weekend? In BUENOS AIRES, Argentina substitute Rodrigo Palacio scored in the fourth minute of stoppage-time to salvage a 1-1 home draw with Ecuador in a World Cup qualifier on Sunday.

Next up Brazil, who just came off a 2-0 loss…

You really know the topics I love discussing, don’t you?

btw, are you still alive?

If I send you my copy of SI will you sign it?

It’ll be my first celeb autograph.

rs27’s last blog post..What Happened To Miss Independent?

I will, actually. I’ll even throw in a baseball card.

Marissa’s last blog post..i bought tickets to the gun show

That should be my new catchphrase: “Pixelated in SI”.

Now we can say we knew you when…

Diane Mandy’s last blog post..Good for Nothing

I think the word “knew” should be in quotes.

I’m expecting offers to photograph major sporting events to come rolling in any day now.

I didn’t even look up from my Chinese leftovers to write this comment.

Congrats, Arjewtino! I’ve never been in a magazine myself (school monthly flyers don’t count), so I envy you.

Now if I could just get published in Heeb, my life would be complete.

I love a good ‘Arrested Development’ reference… even in comment form.

See, I think I speak for us all when I say I wish your first appearance had been in a swimsuit issue.

Damn it, that’s the greatest idea I’ve ever heard.

And it would have made a much better blog post lede.

You are some crazy comment-nabbing computer.

Being involved in Chinese food is one thing, but calling Panda Express Chinese food is like calling Vanilla Ice a rapper. Neither of them are the real deal.

I agree.

Then again, calling a Chicago bagel a “bagel” is deceiving.

Next time wear a two piece… and more pouty. That’s it. Shake your hair, Darling.

lacochran’s last blog post..The Siren Song of Lunch

More pouty. Two words of advice I never thought I’d hear.

Your grainy blowup is all the proof I need.

I am disappointed however, that you were not taking an “upskirt” photo of the woman to your right, instead pointing your camera towards the race.

What is your vision? Are you a super hero? Why were you flying to Detroit? Who are you?

Arjewtino - man of mystery.

Your baseball card came to some pretty awesome parties this weekend (albeit, in the bottom of my purse). SI, celebrities, what’s next? The cover of US Weekly?
